Cigar Lounge Manager

Job Description

The Cigar Lounge Manager will run the Edward Sahakian Cigar Shop & Sampling Lounge with operational excellence, strategic vision and impeccable service standards. You will oversee daily operations, manage the lounge team, nurture relationships with guests and ensure the highest standards of hospitality, product curation, and lounge ambience.

This role combines operational leadership, guest engagement, product expertise and commercial responsibility — perfect for a seasoned hospitality professional who thrives in luxury environments and understands the nuances of premium cigar culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Cigar Lounge & Sampling Room, ensuring a refined, memorable and authentic guest experience aligned with Bvlgari standards.
• Oversee all lounge operations, including service quality, team performance, guest engagement and overall ambience.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of cigars, accessories and premium spirits; consult guests with confidence and expertise.
• Manage inventory, stock control, cigar storage conditions, humidor standards and reporting to ensure product excellence and availability.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant licensing, health & safety, tobacco service regulations and internal hotel policies.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, particularly with Edward Sahakian and associated cigar partners, to enhance product offerings and guest experiences.
• Drive commercial performance through sales, upselling, guest relations and tailored recommendations.
• Recruit, train, mentor and develop a professional, service-oriented team.
• Work collaboratively with wider hotel F&B teams to support events, tastings, pairings and VIP experiences.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a skilled hospitality leader with:

• Proven management experience in luxury hospitality, premium spirits, cigar lounges or high-end beverage environments.
• Deep passion and knowledge of cigars, storage practices, service etiquette — ideally with prior cigar lounge, tobacconist or related experience.
• Exceptional guest service instincts and the ability to deliver discreet, personalised experiences.
• Strong commercial awareness, with experience driving sales and managing inventory effectively.
• Excellent team leadership and people development skills.
• Immaculate presentation and professional demeanour befitting an elite luxury brand.
• Knowledge of cigar pairing with spirits and hospitality trends is a strong advantage.
• Diploma or relevant qualification in hospitality, beverage studies, cigar/smoking culture or related fields (desirable, not mandatory).
• Eligibility to work in the UK with strong written and spoken English.
